INTRO
Punk's Peak is not just another motorcycle event...
Its spectacular location on Mount Jaizkibel, facing the sea, the no less spectacular motorcycles present, the uniqueness of the participating riders and the peculiar event format, make Punk's Peak unique and iconic.
Furthermore, the charming location, not prepared for this kind of event, generates a series of difficulties and/or inconveniences for both the organization and for all those present, making this event even more authentic. To minimize logistical difficulties, we ask you to respect the schedule and indications set by the organizers.
Mount Jaizkibel is a protected mountain, a true gem in terms of landscape, geology, and nature, considered the end of the Pyrenees. It probably goes without saying, but let's take care and respect this incredible place as we have since the first edition in 2014.
FORMAT
Punk's Peak is an acceleration test in a one-against-one duel over a distance of approximately 400 meters. It consists of 4 categories (Pre50; Pre75; Post75 <100cv and Superbikes). The format is very simple, the first person to cross the finish line advances to the next round, and the second is eliminated.
RULES
The rules are few and simple:
- Each rider will have his lane and must stay in it from start to finish. Changing lanes or touching the lane separation line will result in direct elimination.
- Left and right lanes have exactly the same distance and will be decided, together with the pairings, based on the arrival of the participants at the starting line. In case of doubt, the race director or the track marshall, will decide both the lane and the pairing.
-The start will be made with the left hand attached to the helmet and, you will not be able to release it until the starting signal or the starting flag.
MORE
As mentioned, Punk's Peak is not just another motorcycling event. The important thing is not to win but to participate and experience its peculiarities firsthand. We strongly ask you to ensure fast but, above all, safe rounds, both in riding and in your protective equipment. “Fast but Safe” ;)
Finally, remember that after the race, we will have the awards ceremony at the Wheels And Waves Village in Biarritz at 6:00 PM
Thank you all and see you very soon!!!
