The ATLANTISMAN event is an open water swimming competition that includes multiple races with different distances designed for swimmers of various ages and skill levels. The organizational details are strict, with precise rules regarding participation, equipment, safety, and prize categories.

      • FULL ATLANTISMAN: 10 km

      • SPRINT: 2 km
      • ATLANTISKIDS: 250-500 m (children's race, distance depends on age)
      • ATLANTISTEAM: Team relay, 3 x 500 m

      • Men, Women, Mixed Teams and Schools.
      • Multiple categories based on age and ability, including categories for people with disabilities
    • Awards:

      • Cash prizes, trophies, medals, diplomas, and promotional products
      • All finishers receive a medal

    COMPETITION REGULATIONS:

    • General Aspects:

      • Participants must understand and accept all rules
      • Competitors must be in good physical condition
      • No doping allowed
      • Follow race officials’ and public authorities' instructions
      • Disqualification authority lies with race officials and medical staff
      • No external support allowed during races, except feeding
      • Fairness and compliance with rules are essential

      • Swimmers can compete in one or more distances: FULL ATLANTISMAN (10 km), SPRINT (2 km), ATLANTISKIDS (250-500 m), and ATLANTISTEAMS (3 x 500 m)
    • Award Categories:

      • Multiple categories based on age and gender
      • Parental consent required for participants under 18
    • FULL ATLANTISMAN and SPRINT:

      • Categories: General (Top 3), Junior (16-19), Master (20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, +70), PARA (disabilities >33%)
    • ATLANTISKIDS:

      • Categories: U9 (7-8), U12 (9-11), U15 (12-14), U18 (15-18)
    • ATLANTISTEAMS:

      • Categories: Male, Female, Mixed (12 years and older), Schools

    AWARDS:

      • Top 3 overall: Cash prizes, medals/trophies, diplomas

    USE OF WETSUIT:

    • Temperature Guidelines:
      • <18ºC: Mandatory wetsuit
      • 18-24ºC: Wetsuit allowed
      • 24ºC: Wetsuit not allowed

    ATTIRE:

    • Allowed Equipment:
      • Organizer-provided swimming cap (1 piece)
      • Safety buoy (mandatory)
      • Swimming goggles
      • Wetsuit (depending on water temperature)
      • Timing chip
      • Competition number (visible and on safety buoy, hands, and cap)
      • Allowed electronic devices: watches, heart rate monitors, GPS (no aquatic music players)

      • Km 3: 1h 30m
      • Km 6: 3h
      • Finish: 4h 30m
    • SPRINT (2 km):

      • Finish: 2h
    • ATLANTISTEAMS (1.5 km / 3x500m):

      • Finish: 1h 30m

    FEEDING POINTS:

    • 10 km Race:

      • 3 loops of 3.3 km with 2 feeding stations at each loop’s end
    • SPRINT, ATLANTISKIDS, ATLANTISTEAMS:

      • No feeding stations

    REGISTRATION:

    • Process:
      • Exclusively via the official website
      • Fee includes participation, kit, insurance, support, classification, and timing service
      • Service fee: €4.5
      • Changes and transfers allowed up to 1 month before the event (fees apply)
      • Refunds available only within 1 month after registration

    PARTICIPATION AND INSURANCE:

    • Minimum Ages:
      • FULL ATLANTISMAN and SPRINT: 16 years
      • ATLANTISKIDS: 7-14 years
      • ATLANTISTEAMS: 12 years

    SAFETY:

    • Monitored by boats and kayaks
    • Safety team authorized to withdraw participants for medical reasons

    REFEREES:

    • Authority to disqualify for time limit, buoy avoidance, health concerns, slow pace, safety gestures, not following instructions, or using forbidden gear

    CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT:

    • Conditions:
      • Event may be delayed, modified, or cancelled due to dangerous conditions or force majeure
      • No refunds if event is postponed or cancelled
      • Registrations transfer automatically if postponed

    PERSONAL DATA:

    • Managed by the Ice Swimming & Open Water Sport Association
    • Used for competition administration and promotional purposes
    • Consent required for image use in promotional materials

    DESTINATION OF THE FEES:

  • Safety and Health: Participant safety is continuously monitored with clear rules on medical assistance and disqualification criteria for violating safety rules or anti-doping regulations.
  • Anti-Doping Rules: The competition adheres to strict anti-doping regulations in accordance with national and international laws.

All proceeds from this event are going to be used 100% solely for the purpose of organising the event.
